The role is critical for maintaining accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, FAR, and DCAA guidelines, and for the efficient administration of the Deltek Costpoint ERP system.

• Mission: To ensure accurate and timely financial statements, support budget processes, and administer the Deltek Costpoint ERP system.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Statement Support: Assist in maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
• Budget and Audit Assistance: Support the year-end budget process, data entry in Costpoint, and compile data for external audit processes.
• Accounting Operations: Prepare and enter journal entries for accruals and cash, and maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Costpoint System Administration: Administer SA’s Deltek Costpoint ERP system, including user authentication, license management, and support ticket submission.
• User and Issue Resolution: Diagnose Time and Expense system issues for users, support payroll and AP staff with Costpoint issues, and resolve background job issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with knowledge and understanding of GAAP, FAR, DCAA guidelines, and government contracting regulations.
• Experience: Practical experience with government accounting software systems, particularly Costpoint.
• Skills: Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, strong time management skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and strong MS Office skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
