The Tone:
This is a full-time role at O’Hagan Meyer, located in San Francisco, CA. O’Hagan Meyer is a law firm seeking a detail-oriented Jr. Docket Clerk to join its legal support team. This position is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely management of court dates, deadlines, and litigation information across multiple jurisdictions. The individual in this role will play a foundational part in supporting the firm’s litigation efforts and maintaining essential case administration.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Maintain litigation deadlines: Assist with entering and updating critical litigation deadlines within the firm’s CourtAlert system across multiple offices.
• Identify deadlines: Systematically review pleadings, notices, and court orders to pinpoint relevant deadlines.
• Generate reports: Help prepare and distribute timely reports and summaries of upcoming deadlines.
• Process filings: Draft, edit, and file pleadings and discovery documents with State, Federal Courts, and Administrative Agencies.
• Document procedures: Support training efforts by documenting existing procedures and workflows related to docketing.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of the litigation process as well as Federal, State, and Local court rules and procedures.
• Experience: 1-3 years of legal experience, with a background in docketing or litigation support and administration.
• Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication, and proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, MS Excel, and MS Office (including Outlook).
• Bonus: A paralegal certificate or other legal education, and experience with CourtAlert or other docketing programs.
