Detailed Job Description:
This is a 1-year contract position (with potential for extension) for a Junior JavaScript and Frontend Developer, working 100% remotely from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The pay range is $25–$35 per hour. The role focuses on building and maintaining web applications that support the company’s custom products and customer experience.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborating with design and backend teams to build intuitive user interfaces.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code for web applications.
• Participating in code reviews and providing feedback to peers.
• Troubleshooting and debugging frontend issues to ensure smooth user experiences.
Tech Breakdown:
• 70% Front-End Development
• 30% Back-End Development (with opportunity for growth)
Daily Responsibilities Breakdown:
• 60% Hands-On (coding, building, debugging)
• 20% Team Collaboration (working with design and backend teams)
• 20% Learning and Development (staying current with industry trends)
Required Skills & Experience:
• Proficiency in JavaScript and ES6
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and responsive design
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React or Angular
• Understanding of REST APIs and integrating with backend services
• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
Desired Skills & Experience:
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Knowledge of UI/UX principles and design
• Familiarity with CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Knowledge of backend development with Node.js or similar technologies
