Job Description: Java Developer

Company: fusionSpan

Role: We are seeking a Java Developer to join the fusionSpan team.

Location & Type:
• Full-time positions: Can be performed remotely or at the company’s Headquarters in Rockville, MD.
• Part-time internship: Required to be at our Headquarters in Rockville, MD.

Key Responsibilities:
• Application Development: Engaging in Java/APEX development and creating custom web-based applications.
• System Integration: Integrating various IT systems and working on Salesforce implementation projects.
• Web Services: Developing web services using SOAP and REST APIs.
• Database Applications: Working on the development of database-driven applications.
• ETL Solutions: Implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions for system integration.
• Emerging Technologies: Contributing to projects involving cutting-edge technologies such as AI, LLMs (Large Language Models), Big Data, and Business Intelligence.

Required Qualifications:
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (applicants who are students must be in their final years).
• Experience: 2+ Years of experience in Java and Object-Oriented programming.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with web or database application development and strong proficiency in SQL.
• Highly Desired: Experience with middleware platforms is considered a huge plus.
• Bonus: Experience in Agile development methodology/Scrum is nice to have.
