Job Description: ITS Internship Program

This internship program at Caterpillar’s Solar Turbines division offers a chance to be part of a dynamic team, developing technical skills and contributing to the company’s success. The program is specifically designed to prepare the next generation of technology professionals.

Program Goals:

• Build a strong technical foundation
• Gain experience through challenging assignments

Program Details:

Rotations: Interns rotate through various departments including:
• Engineering
• Sales
• Service & HR
• IT Enterprise Applications
• Client Support Services
• Cybersecurity
• Solar Analytics
• Infrastructure Services
• Manufacturing IT
Project-Based Learning: Assignments are tailored to each individual’s skills and the company’s needs. These assignments can range from assisting in quality assurance, software development, customer support, project management, and system administration.
Interfacing with Business Roles: Interns gain an understanding of Caterpillar’s technology lifecycle and how IT supports the business.
End-of-Program Celebration: The program culminates with a celebration of accomplishments and feedback from management.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at an accredited school
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• 0-3 years of related experience
• Previous internship or relevant project experience in a technology-related field
• Ability and willingness to relocate to San Diego, CA for the duration of the internship

• High energy level and sense of urgency
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good business and technical judgment
• Ability to handle multiple priorities for a variety of tasks

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Range: $20.50 – $36.90 (depending on various factors)
