Job Description

Job Title: IT Support Intern (Workstation & Appliance Configuration)

Position Summary:
This internship position at CU*Answers is responsible for the end-to-end management of client workstations and CU*Base Update Appliances. This includes the configuration, deployment, tracking, and return of this essential equipment ordered by clients.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Install and configure software on new PCs.
  • Transport equipment between CU*Answers office locations.
  • Set up PC hardware for internal users.
  • Configure CU*Base Update Appliances according to specifications.
  • Document and track equipment in motion to maintain accurate records.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on hardware setups and software configurations.
  • Securely delete data on returned PCs to ensure data privacy.
  • Participate in checklist documentation evaluation and process improvement initiatives.

Job Specifications & Qualifications:

  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent is required.
  • Technical Skills: Strong desktop support skills, including proficiency with Windows 7 and Windows 10.
  • Data Handling: Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential data.
  • Record Keeping: Ability to maintain detailed tracking records of equipment.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills are essential.

Work Environment & Physical Activities:
CU*Answers operates in a professional office building setting. While some job assignments are primarily conducted within the office, this role may involve moderate travel for transporting equipment.
