About the IT Operations Internship:

Job Title: IT Operations Intern

Duration: 10 weeks (June 2nd, 2025 – August 8th, 2025)

Job Description:

The IT Operations Intern will assist the IT team in managing daily operations, including system administration, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, documentation, and ensuring business continuity. This hands-on role provides experience with enterprise IT infrastructure and processes within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Participating in ongoing IT projects, contributing to troubleshooting, testing, and implementation.
• Collaborating with IT technicians, administrators, system engineers, and network engineers to understand workflows, ensure compliance, and identify optimization opportunities.
• Assisting with small projects like system migrations or upgrades.
• Supporting software installations, updates, and configuration.
• Contributing to the timely resolution of technical issues.
• Assisting with asset management, tracking IT equipment, and maintaining inventory.
• Participating in team meetings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Ability to methodically troubleshoot technical issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of computer networks, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Passion for technology and eagerness to learn new tools and techniques.
• Experience with IT ticketing systems (Freshservice, ServiceNow, or Jira).
• Familiarity with remote desktop tools and network troubleshooting tools.
• Knowledge of enterprise IT systems (Okta or Google Workspace).
• Hands-on experience in IT helpdesk or support roles.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for task automation.

Compensation: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (factors considered include location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity). This role is not eligible for benefits. A bonus program and incentive pay may be available depending on the role.
