Job Description: IT – Intern

Job Purpose:
Herc Rentals is seeking IT- Interns to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about new technology and eager to contribute to the company’s IT initiatives.

What You Will Do:
• Work extensively with digital platforms and the development team.
• Assist in data generation and curation to support strategic Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) development initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with various teams to solve problems and improve processes.
• Help with day-to-day support activities.
• Assist the team as needed in gathering requirements for various software development initiatives.
• Based on performance, there is a potential to assist and support A.I. Proof of Concepts (POC) in transportation and other emerging areas.

Requirements:
Location: Applicants must be located within commutable distance to the Bonita Springs, FL HQ to facilitate in-person work while attending school.
Work Hours: Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Education:
• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Information Systems (IS) major at either the bachelor’s or master’s level.
• Must be a minimum of Junior level in their academic program.

Skills:
Proficiency or familiarity with MS Office and programming concepts.
Clear and respectful communication with internal customers at all levels.
Eager to help people and solve problems.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Humble and unafraid to ask questions and admit mistakes.
• Able to analyze and deconstruct technical problems.
• Able to develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Possess an analytical mindset and the ability to see the big picture and influence others.

Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $20.00 PH. The actual salary offered may vary based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, location, and overall fit for the role.
