Job Description:
The IT Audit Intern position is with Ryder’s Audit Services department. This is a remote, part-time internship, requiring approximately 20 hours per week, offering flexibility to accommodate the intern’s class schedule.
Key Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:
• Learn Fundamentals: Interns will gain foundational knowledge of IT auditing and business operations through formal training and hands-on participation.
• Audit Assignments: Participate in various audit assignments, which may include SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) or other compliance audits, IT process audits, vendor audits, and IT general control audits. Specific assignments will depend on resource needs during the internship.
• Perform Audit Procedures: Execute IT audit procedures, which involve identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and meticulously documenting auditee processes and procedures.
• Documentation and Interviews: Prepare detailed working papers, conduct interviews with relevant personnel, review various documents, and compose summary memos.
• Issue Identification and Recommendation: Independently identify, develop, and document issues and recommendations concerning the areas under review.
• Communication: Communicate, or assist in communicating, the results of projects through both written reports and oral presentations to management.
Qualifications:
• Required:
• Must be at least an incoming Junior pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant coursework in accounting, auditing, economics, data analytics, computer programming, or other financial or IT-centric curricula is expected.
• Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

• Demonstrated success in completing team projects and effectively working in a team environment.
• A proactive desire to gain knowledge of the company and its business operations.

Compensation and Benefits:
• Pay Type: Hourly.
• Pay Range: $21.00 – $21.00 per hour. The compensation offered may be influenced by factors such as the candidate’s relevant experience, education, work location, market data, and internal equity.
