About the Opportunity: ISAM Market Research Intern
The SpaceLead is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented remote intern to join their team. This practical role is perfect for someone passionate about transforming complex, fragmented information into clear, actionable insights for founders, operators, and decision-makers within the rapidly evolving In-Space Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing (ISAM) sector.

- Compensation: Competitive, market-aligned compensation, commensurate with experience and scope. Interns will receive references with a clear portfolio of published work and research outputs for future applications.
What You Will Work On
As an ISAM Market Research Intern, you will be instrumental in mapping and tracking the ISAM landscape. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building a Structured Landscape View: Identify and categorize key players, capabilities, facilities, missions, and timelines within the ISAM sector.
- Tracking Market Signals: Monitor and report on funding rounds, contract awards, strategic partnerships, and technology milestones across the industry.
- Producing Decision-Ready Outputs: Create concise research materials such as 1-page briefs, comparative tables, weekly snapshots, and “what changed” updates for quick consumption by stakeholders.
- Maintaining Research Trackers: Keep comprehensive records of companies, programmes, Technology Readiness Levels (TRL), procurement routes, geographical presence, and investor activities.
- Supporting Outreach Preparation: Prepare background notes and well-researched target lists to facilitate targeted outreach efforts.

- Strong Online Research Skills: Exceptional ability to find and synthesize information, with keen attention to detail.
- Comfort with Short Formats: Proficiency in writing bullets, tables, and brief summaries.
- Independence & Proactiveness: Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, and ask insightful questions early in the process.
- Curiosity: A genuine interest in the space industry and In-Space Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing (ISAM).
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with ESA/NASA/UKSA programmes, prime contractors, supply chains, or the venture capital landscape in space.
- Comfort using tools like Notion/Airtable, spreadsheets, and performing light data cleaning.
Tools
Interns are encouraged to use whatever tools they are most efficient with. The primary workload will involve documents and spreadsheets, complemented by a simple tracker workflow.
