Job Description:
Ring, an Amazon company, is seeking an experienced iOS Engineer to contribute to cross-team mobile initiatives. This role focuses on improving both customer and engineer experiences. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in ambiguous situations, possessing strong technical skills, project management abilities, and experience building solutions from the ground up. Strategic and tactical thinking, innovation, effective engineering leadership and communication, and teamwork are crucial. The engineer will navigate cross-team efforts using modern mobile technologies, delivering scalable and user-friendly solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Designing and building applications for the iOS platform, focusing on performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Collaborating with a cross-functional agile team to create and ship new features.
• Evaluating application issues and fixing bugs.
• Maintaining code quality, organization, and automation.
Basic Qualifications:
• 3+ years of Apple platform development experience.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of non-internship experience in the design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
