Job Description: Investor Relations Internship
This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the financial markets through the lens of CSX’s culture and methods. The ten-week program allows interns to work directly with experienced professionals, contributing to real-world projects and gaining exposure to corporate leadership. # Key Responsibilities:
• Analytical Support: Interns will contribute to the development of various financial documents, including investor presentations, earnings reports, and internal strategy papers. This will involve gathering and analyzing market data to support the company’s strategic messages.
• Relationship Building: Interns will collaborate with internal business partners, gaining valuable experience in cross-functional communication and understanding how different departments contribute to the company’s overall success.
• Communication & Presentation Skills: Interns will have the opportunity to present their analyses to senior management, showcasing their communication skills and ability to synthesize complex information.
• Data Analysis: The role involves developing and utilizing data tools to track market trends, analyze investor sentiment, and identify potential opportunities or challenges.
• Investor Engagement: Interns will support the Investor Relations team in tasks related to investor targeting, tracking, and communication, providing a foundation for understanding investor relations strategies.
# Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program from an accredited institution
• Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4-point scale)
# Preferred Qualifications:
• Major or Concentration in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related major field of study
• Anticipated graduation within a year after the end of the internship
• Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.5 (based on a 4-point scale)
# Knowledge and Skills:
• Academic distinction with financial or quantitative interest/talent
• Strong understanding of financial markets, with particular familiarity with equities
• Proven leadership ability and initiative
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
• Ability to develop and deliver presentations to a senior level audience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
