What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Ownership: You will take comprehensive ownership across all stages of digital infrastructure investments, covering the full lifecycle from identifying new opportunities through meticulous execution and successful exit strategies.
• Capital Deployment & Management: You will be responsible for deploying third-party equity capital into new ventures and actively managing existing investments, consistently focusing on maximizing long-term value creation for stakeholders.
• Strategic Portfolio Partnership: You will partner closely with senior leaders within Macquarie’s portfolio companies, contributing significantly to setting strategic directions, guiding comprehensive business planning, and rigorously managing performance to achieve strategic objectives.
• Team & Culture Contribution: You will play a role in supporting the mentoring and development initiatives within the investing team, actively contributing to fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture that values shared success.
• Business Leadership: You will apply your judgment and a proactive mindset to lead complex investments and provide crucial support to growing businesses operating within a continually evolving market environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires a Vice President level professional with deep core domain knowledge in digital infrastructure investing, prepared to operate from a shareholder perspective.
• Experience: Candidates must have 4–8 years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a direct investing role. A proven track record of successfully leading transactions through execution is essential, alongside experience driving performance across both investments and operating companies.
• Skills: Strong analytical capabilities are required for evaluating opportunities, complemented by excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and robust commercial acumen with an entrepreneurial approach to identify and capitalize on market trends.
• Bonus: Prior experience within the digital or communications industries is highly preferred, offering an advantageous understanding of the sector-specific nuances and technologies.
