Investment Management Summer Analyst Program – Fixed Income Summer Rotation (New York)

This 10-week program combines a week of comprehensive training with nine weeks of hands-on experience within a specific Investment Management (IM) team. The curriculum is carefully designed to equip Summer Analysts with the fundamental skills needed to excel in the field of investment management.

During the 10-week program, you will:

• Experience the unique culture and atmosphere of Morgan Stanley while performing a role similar to a Full-Time Analyst.

The Training Program:

Week one: The program kicks off with a week of comprehensive training covering firm-wide orientation, business overviews, professional development, technical training, and networking events. A speaker series will also run throughout the duration of the program.

Role and Responsibilities:

Learn the ins and outs of an Analyst role: You will gain experience within a specific IM team, gaining insights into the roles, skills, and responsibilities of an analyst in various functional areas.
Focus areas: The program offers placements within the following IM groups:
• Active Fundamental Equity
• Bank Loan
• Broad Markets
• High Yield
• Municipal Bonds
Deep dive into IM: Develop a comprehensive understanding of IM, the full range of products and services offered, and how these cater to client needs.
On-the-job training: Benefit from working alongside experienced professionals on meaningful projects and receive valuable on-the-job training.
Contribute to the business: Play an active role in the oversight of the business by participating in qualitative and quantitative research, reporting, and analysis.
Monitor key metrics: Track applicable business metrics and present your findings to internal stakeholders.
Stay ahead of the curve: Stay informed about market developments, including new investment products and economic trends.
Develop key skills: Continuously enhance your public speaking, company/industry research and analysis (qualitative), modeling, presentation building, and project management skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with graduation expected between December 2025 and June 2026.
Academic Excellence: Demonstrated exceptional academic performance.
Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across teams and within the broader organization.

Compensation:

• The expected base pay rate for the role is $52.89 per hour at the start of employment.
• Base pay is a part of the total compensation package, which may also include discretionary bonuses and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs depending on the specific position.
