Investment Management Summer Analyst Program – Calvert Engagement (Washington DC)
This 10-week program, starting in June, provides a unique opportunity for aspiring investment professionals to experience the culture and environment of Morgan Stanley. Summer Analysts work alongside experienced professionals, essentially acting as Full-Time Analysts during their time with the team.
The program structure:
• Week 1: Comprehensive training includes firm-wide orientation, business overviews, professional development workshops, technical training, and networking events.
• Week 2 – 10: You’ll be integrated into an Investment Management (IM) team, applying your skills and knowledge in a real-world setting.
Key responsibilities of the Investment Management Summer Analyst:
• Collaborate with various teams: Work alongside Investment Teams, Distribution & Marketing, Legal & Compliance, and Operations to gain a deep understanding of strategies, opportunities, product launches, mergers and acquisitions, and provide ongoing support for the product platform.
• Conduct market research: Analyze competitor funds, performance, and global investment trends using various fund databases to support product initiatives.
• Contribute to product development: Assist in crafting offering documents, marketing materials, and operational processes.
• Assess product demand: Engage with sales teams to understand market demand for current and potential products.
• Support strategic growth: Contribute to initiatives like new product launches, team expansions, and sales strategies.
• Assist in corporate development and M&A: Analyze financial statements and operating information of potential acquisition targets.
• Research and analyze geographical markets: Explore emerging markets like China and understand growth opportunities within the retirement/DC and insurance channels.
Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree: Expected graduation between December 2025 and June 2026.
• Academic excellence: Demonstrate strong academic performance.
• Exceptional communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial.
• Team player: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across teams and within the organization.
• Energetic and adaptable: Thrives in dynamic environments, is self-motivated, and works well within a team.
• Organized and efficient: Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Analytical and detail-oriented: Proven problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach.

Compensation:
The expected base pay rate for this role is $43.27 per hour at the start of employment. Keep in mind that this is only part of the total compensation package, which may include discretionary bonuses and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
