Investment Banking Vice President – Healthcare MedTech | Piper Sandler

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Piper Sandler, located in Minneapolis, MN. This Vice President role is pivotal in executing high-profile transactions and providing critical strategic and financial advice to leading public and private companies within the Healthcare MedTech sector. You will directly contribute to their strategic growth and capital market activities, playing a significant part in the firm’s expanding MedTech Investment Banking team.

• Mission: Lead and support high-profile M&A, equity, equity-linked, and debt transactions, providing strategic and financial advice to companies in the Healthcare MedTech sector.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Engagement: Serve as a key contact for select clients, fostering impactful relationships and contributing to client coverage.
• Marketing & Client Materials: Develop compelling marketing materials for company sale and financing assignments.
• Transaction Execution: Lead and support the execution of M&A, equity, equity-linked, and debt transactions.
• Financial Analysis: Prepare comprehensive strategic and M&A analyses, detailed company valuations, and financial models.
• Business Development: Assume increasing responsibilities in new business development initiatives over time.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelors or MBA Degree in finance, business, management, or other related fields, with a focus on Investment Banking.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of investment banking experience, OR an MBA degree combined with 3+ years of investment banking or closely related experience, with meaningful M&A transaction experience.
• Skills: Business writing skills for compelling memorandums and presentations, strong knowledge of accounting and M&A deal modeling, ability to lead junior bankers, and client management skills.
• Bonus: Deep understanding and passion for healthcare and the medical device ecosystem, exceptional work ethic, high level of enthusiasm, initiative, and leadership potential.
