Investment Banking Summer Internship Analyst – Summer 2025

This program offers a 10-week full-time paid internship from June to August 2025. Interns must be located within the continental United States and participate in a hybrid work model, requiring in-person attendance at their assigned location throughout the program.

The program aims to prepare undergraduate students for a career in investment banking through:

The Capital Markets team at Capital One is comprised of various departments:

Debt & Equity Capital Markets
Structured Products
Loan Syndications
Derivatives
Mergers & Acquisitions

Within M&A, there are two distinct platforms:

TripleTree: Focused on the healthcare industry.
KippsDeSanto, Co.: Focused on aerospace & defense.

The internship provides the potential for placement into a full-time role within one of these Capital Markets lines of business after completion.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop a thorough understanding of Investment Banking products and services.
• Create and organize client marketing presentations, memoranda, and deliverables.
• Conduct industry and market research and analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of financial models and business valuations.

Key Requirements:

Basic Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or higher degree with anticipated graduation by July 2026 or earlier. Continuing in the same course of study after the internship.
Preferred Qualifications: Major in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or Mathematics.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
• Knowledge of general accounting and finance principles.
• Passion for financial markets and the economy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment.
