Job Description: Investment Banking Summer Analyst (Intern)
Deloitte’s Corporate Finance practice offers an exciting opportunity for ambitious and high-caliber candidates seeking responsibility and a unique introduction to the world of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). As an Investment Banking Summer Analyst (Intern), you will work alongside experienced investment bankers and clients from various industries, including consumer & retail, healthcare, business services, and global industrials.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide recommendations aligned with client business goals and strategic and transactional objectives.
• Construct financial models to assess growth strategies, capital structure decisions, and transaction alternatives.
• Employ valuation methodologies to evaluate businesses and advise on transaction ranges.
• Position businesses in the investor community by articulating value propositions and anticipating concerns.
• Participate in all phases of the transaction process, gaining exposure to senior bankers and clients.
Qualifications:
• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong academic track record with extracurricular activities (cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above).
• Ability to analyze companies from financial, operational, and industry perspectives.
• Demonstrated leadership and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50% based on project requirements.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above.
• Relevant work experience in internships, summer positions, or school jobs.
