The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Wells Fargo, located in New York, NY. The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, capital markets, and advisory solutions to corporate, government, and institutional clients. This Associate position is crucial for supporting senior bankers in managing client relationships and coordinating all aspects of complex investment banking deals within the Healthcare Services sector, contributing to the firm’s overall financial service delivery and client relationships.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Management: Support senior bankers in their relationship management responsibilities, including direct interaction with current and prospective clients.
• Financial Modeling: Create detailed financial models, which include Leveraged Buyout (LBO) models and other comprehensive financial and valuation analyses.
• Deal Coordination: Participate in and help drive all aspects of deal coordination, including conducting thorough due diligence efforts.
• Marketing Materials: Draft and review marketing materials, and effectively liaise with potential buyers, other advisors, and internal team members throughout the deal process.
• Financial Analysis: Assist senior bankers and deal teams to analyze financial statements, conduct due diligence, build complex financial models, complete industry and comparable company analysis, and distill large amounts of information into concise memos that address key credit risks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Strong grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting, along with a demonstrated understanding of Wells Fargo’s credit risk policies, risk appetite, and underwriting guidelines.
• Experience: 2+ years of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent work experience, training, or education.
• Skills: Proficiency in creating detailed financial models (including LBOs and valuation analysis), conducting due diligence, analyzing financial statements, and distilling complex information into clear memos; must obtain FINRA Series 79, Series 63 (or 66), and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) registration within 90 days of hire.
• Bonus: Prior Healthcare Investment Banking experience; a Master’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics; excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated excellence in working effectively as an individual and as part of a team; a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results; strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
