Investment Associate | Argonove

The Tone:
This is a flexible engagement role at Argonove, a focused digital infrastructure investment platform that is actively developing and investing in university-anchored AI-ready data center campuses throughout the United States. Argonove works in close partnership with universities, institutional investors, technology partners, and developers to establish scalable digital infrastructure designed to support crucial AI research, foster workforce development, and deliver long-term institutional value. This Investment Associate position presents an early-stage opportunity to join an entrepreneurial investment firm, providing essential support for investment origination, in-depth financial analysis, diligent transaction execution, and key strategic initiatives as the platform expands. The individual in this role will significantly contribute to shaping Argonove’s distinctive digital infrastructure strategy.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Model: Build and maintain complex financial models for investment opportunities.
• Evaluate: Evaluate digital infrastructure and energy investment opportunities for their strategic fit and financial viability.
• Execute: Support comprehensive due diligence processes and transaction execution from start to finish.
• Prepare: Prepare detailed investment memoranda and materials for investment committee review.
• Research: Conduct in-depth market research across AI infrastructure, data centers, power, and higher education sectors.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Experienced professionals with a foundational background in financial services, specifically within infrastructure private equity, digital infrastructure, investment banking, project finance, or general infrastructure investing sectors.
• Experience: A minimum of 3–7 years of relevant professional experience, critically including a proven track record in preparing comprehensive investment committee materials and supporting the full transaction lifecycle.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling capabilities, excellent proficiency in using PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data management, alongside robust written and verbal communication abilities for internal and external stakeholders.
• Bonus: Preferred experience includes direct exposure to data centers, power & utilities, renewable energy, infrastructure funds, real assets, public-private partnerships (P3), or AI infrastructure. Candidates should possess intellectual curiosity, strong initiative, unwavering integrity, and the capability to thrive independently within an entrepreneurial environment while enjoying building new platforms and collaborating directly with senior leadership.
