What You’ll Actually Do
• Underwriting Analysis: Perform comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis to thoroughly support the underwriting of Setpoint’s potential investment opportunities.
• Investment Documentation: Prepare clear internal memoranda and other essential materials used to support informed investment recommendations and facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Borrower Relations: Proactively initiate and develop strong, lasting relationships with both new and existing borrowers.
• Portfolio Monitoring: Continuously assess the performance of existing investments, evaluating both the underlying collateral and the operational health of the associated operating company.
• Market Evaluation: Evaluate broader market conditions in current and prospective investment categories, providing critical information and analysis to support strategic asset allocation decisions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional with foundational expertise in financial investment, specifically asset-backed private credit, and a strong grasp of related financial principles.
• Experience: 1-3 years of highly relevant experience, with a distinct preference for backgrounds gained in structured credit, private equity, or investment banking.
• Skills: Demonstrated analytical ability, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal capabilities for relationship building, and meticulous attention to detail with the proven capacity to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Bonus: A genuine desire to continuously learn and take on new challenges, high levels of self-motivation, a strong bias towards action, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and designing repeatable processes.
