What You’ll Actually Do
• Underwriting: Perform comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis to thoroughly support the underwriting of Setpoint’s potential investment opportunities.
• Documentation: Prepare clear and concise internal memoranda and various other materials essential for supporting investment recommendations and communicating with stakeholders.
• Relationship Management: Develop and maintain effective relationships with new and existing borrowers throughout the investment lifecycle.
• Performance Assessment: Continuously assess the performance of existing investments, evaluating both the underlying collateral and the operational health of the associated operating companies.
• Market Intelligence: Systematically evaluate market conditions in existing and potential new investment categories, providing analysis to support asset allocation decisions and project execution.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role is designed for an early career professional bringing existing experience in financial services. Candidates should possess fundamental domain knowledge highly relevant to structured credit, private equity, or investment banking to effectively contribute from day one.
• Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience is required, preferably gained within structured credit, private equity, or investment banking environments. This experience should demonstrate a foundational understanding of investment processes and financial analysis.
• Skills: Demonstrated analytical ability for structuring data and performing robust quantitative and qualitative analyses to drive investment decisions. This includes keen attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple priorities and execute tasks effectively within established deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for building relationships, preparing comprehensive memoranda, and collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the ability to quickly understand complex systems and design repeatable solutions is highly valued.
