Senior Analyst, Business Analysis and Insights | Walmart

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Walmart, located in Bentonville, AR. You will be instrumental in protecting Sam’s Club’s eCommerce business by identifying and addressing fraud across online orders, payments, chargebacks, and returns. Your work will directly support the Asset Protection team, reducing financial losses and fostering a secure, trusted experience for members. This role is crucial for preserving company integrity, protecting revenue, and improving overall business performance through data-driven investigations.

The TL;DR

• Location: In-person, Bentonville, AR, USA
• Pay: $60000–$110000 yearly
• Team: Asset Protection Omni-Fraud, Investigations, and Risk Mitigation team; reports to the Senior Manager Investigations and Risk Mitigation.
• Mission: Identify, investigate, and mitigate financial, integrity, and theft risks to protect Sam’s Club’s eCommerce business and ensure a safe member experience.
• Tech Stack: Spreadsheets, analytical tools, databases, Big Data (preferred), Statistical Programming Language (preferred)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investigate: Conduct investigations into matters with significant financial, integrity, legal, and public interest impact on the Company.
• Analyze: Query and analyze data, including archived records, to identify trends, mitigate risk, and inform business decisions.
• Report: Prepare comprehensive reports, maintain data integrity, and develop databases for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Collaborate: Partner with internal stakeholders, law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and government partners to ensure compliance and efficient operations.
• Support: Manage confidential information and prepare litigation support documentation, including subpoenas and discovery requests.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, or 2 years in data analytics, project management, business, or a relevant area.
• Skills: Data analysis and pattern identification using analytical tools; strong written and verbal communication for presenting findings; exceptional attention to detail and accuracy; ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently.
• Bonus: Experience with Analytics – Big Data, Data Analysis and Insights, and Statistical Programming Language.
