Job Description: Inventory & Merchandise Intern
Role: The Inventory & Merchandise Intern will support the Inventory Planner and Merchandising teams in managing inventory and merchandise for all stores in the Americas region.
Responsibilities:
• Inventory Planning:
• Allocate and replenish inventory for stores in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
• Analyze store sales and stock levels, making adjustments as needed.
• Assist with store-specific product and replenishment requests.
• Ensure timely deliveries to support sales trends.
• Proficient in Excel (including v-lookups and pivot tables) and PowerPoint.
• Merchandising:
• Contribute to creating selling tools like buy-books and investment reference sheets.
• Coordinate international transfer requests.
• Prepare selling recaps or stock availability reports for stores.
• Partner in creating client-facing look-books.
• Collect fit and product feedback for headquarters.
• Conduct competitive product and pricing analysis.
Requirements:
• Major or area of study in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Inventory Management.
• Preferred: Luxury retail experience, internships in Allocation, Merchandising & Buying, or Inventory Planning.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with replenishment software in retail brands.
• Strong communication skills.
Internship Details:
• Paid internship based in NYC.
• Onsite position.
• 6-month duration.
• Hourly rate: $16-$17 (based on experience and subject to change).
• At the end of the internship, a presentation summarizing learned skills and their applicability is required.
