Clinical Internship 2026 | Virginia Physicians For Women
The Tone:

What You’ll Actually Do
• Departmental Support: Provide assigned departmental support while gaining valuable experience and educational opportunities.
• Patient Movement: Escort patients to exam rooms and procedure rooms, assisting them as needed with walking transfers.
• Patient Preparation: Aid patients with tasks such as dressing and collecting specimens to ensure readiness for appointments.
• Record Management: Ensure all relevant reports, laboratory results, and other critical information are readily available in patients’ medical records before scheduled appointments.
• Information Verification: Review all patient forms for completeness, proper identification, necessary signatures, and accurate entry into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in or possessing a degree from an accredited university or college at the undergraduate or graduate level.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Completion of the Hepatitis B Vaccine is required; candidates may decline via a declination form or provide a record of previous vaccination.
• Skills: Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail coupled with robust organizational skills. Ability to work self-directed and independently without constant supervision. Consistent ability to concentrate on intricate details.
