About the Internship Program

Our expanding company is actively seeking college students and recent college graduates to join our dynamic Internship Program. This program is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive and hands-on understanding of the landscape industry. We are flexible and can accommodate interns at most branch locations across the country.

This is a full-time, paid position, offering a valuable blend of practical experience and professional development.

What You’ll Experience and Learn

The Yellowstone Landscape Internship Program provides a wide array of experiences, exposing interns to crucial aspects of the landscape industry, including:

  • Management principles and practices
  • Construction techniques and project oversight
  • Tree Care best practices
  • Irrigation system management and design
  • Fertilization strategies
  • Pest Control methods
  • Plant Identification and horticulture knowledge
  • Crew Management and leadership

Program Structure & Responsibilities

Our program is meticulously designed with your growth in mind:

  • Customized Learning Path: A rotating schedule and clearly defined learning objectives are established before your start date. This collaborative process involves you, your Branch Manager, and your Intern Mentor to create a program that aligns with your interests and the specific needs of the branch.
  • Dedicated Mentorship: You will be paired with an Account Manager (Mentor) who will serve as your primary supervisor. Your Mentor will provide guidance, share their management philosophy, and help you cultivate your own unique management style. They are committed to providing consistent feedback throughout the program.
  • Professional Development: We prioritize your professional growth through:
    • Outside activities and networking opportunities to broaden your exposure to the horticultural environment.
    • A dedicated speaker’s forum covering topics relevant to the company and your career trajectory.

Requirements

We are looking for motivated individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Academic Background: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a major in:
    • Plant Science
    • Horticultural Sciences
    • Agriculture
    • Landscape Management
    • Urban Forestry
    • Agricultural Mechanization
    • Construction
    • Design or Architecture
    • Business
  • Passion for Learning: A genuine interest in learning all facets of the landscape industry.
  • Positive Attitude: A “can-do” attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Driving Record: A clean driving record.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent strong communication skills.
