About the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta
The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is a branch of the Federal Reserve, the central bank of the United States. It serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District, encompassing Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, as well as portions of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. The Atlanta Fed plays a vital role in the nation’s economy, focusing on three key areas:
• Monetary Policy: Implementing monetary policy decisions made by the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) to influence interest rates and the money supply.
• Bank Supervision & Regulation: Ensuring the safety and soundness of banks within the district, promoting financial stability, and protecting consumers.
• Nationwide Payment System: Operating a nationwide payment system to facilitate the transfer of funds between banks and financial institutions.

Internship in Supervision & Regulation
This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in the field of banking and real estate analysis within the Supervision & Regulation department.
Responsibilities may include:
• Technical projects: Assisting with technical projects related to banking and real estate analysis.
• Database management: Working with and maintaining databases used for data analysis.
• Data Visualization: Creating data visualizations to present insights and findings.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in a Bachelor or Graduate degree program.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Commitment to working a 40-hour workweek for 10-12 weeks during the summer months.

• Real Estate
Core Competencies:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
