Job Description: Internship/Co-op, Corporate Support Functions

This is an Internship/Co-op opportunity focusing on Corporate Support Functions, designed to provide real-world experience and foster lifelong connections within the construction industry.

Program Overview:
The McGough Internship Program is committed to offering students a well-rounded, hands-on experience in their chosen field. Interns will gain practical knowledge through mentorship, networking, and meaningful project work, while also exploring various functions across the organization to develop a 360-degree perspective of the business.

Opportunities and Areas of Exposure:
This internship is specifically tailored for students eager to gain direct experience within McGough’s corporate headquarters. Opportunities are subject to departmental needs and may be available across diverse areas, including but not limited to:
Operations and Project Support: Safety, Estimating, Virtual Design & Construction, Engineered Systems/MEP.
Business and Finance: Accounting, Human Resources.
Marketing and Communications.
• Other corporate functions.
Note: Internship and co-op availability is based on departmental needs and may vary. McGough cannot guarantee openings in specific areas or fields of study.

Key Responsibilities and Contributions:
Interns will have the chance to:
• Support leaders and teams, gaining exposure to corporate operations.
• Participate actively in meetings and contribute ideas or insights.
• Conduct research and prepare reports or presentations for leadership.
• Assist with various projects, process improvements, or workflow initiatives.
• Collaborate across different corporate functions to develop a well-rounded understanding of business operations.

Compensation:
• The base hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.00 to $26.00, excluding fringe benefits or potential bonuses.
• The final base salary will be determined by factors such as geography, location, skills, education, experience, and internal pay equity among current team members.

Office & Travel:
Office Location: Corporate Headquarters in Minnesota (MN) or a Regional Office in Texas (TX), North Carolina (NC), Iowa (IA), South Dakota (SD), North Dakota (ND), or Montana (MT).
Travel: Expect some travel to project sites, company events, and other company activities as an integral part of the experience.

Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements are representative of those an employee must meet to perform the essential functions successfully, with reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities.
• The position involves sitting for extended periods at a workstation, during meetings, and while traveling (by plane or car).
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds as frequently as needed to move objects.
• Dexterity to write and manipulate a computer keyboard and mouse.
• Ability to hear and speak clearly.
• Ability to distinguish between colors on graphs and charts.
• Occasionally, jobsite visits will be required, which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions, and extreme temperatures.
