Job Description
About the company
The Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin (AHW) Endowment was established in 2004 by the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). Its creation stemmed from a portion of charitable funds received when Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin transitioned from a nonprofit to a for-profit entity. The proceeds from this sale were generously gifted to Wisconsin’s two medical schools: MCW and the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, on behalf of the people of Wisconsin. AHW is strategically housed within the MCW School of Medicine, which is the third largest private medical school in the nation and part of Wisconsin’s largest private research institution. This placement allows AHW to effectively steward its gift, combining philanthropy with academic medicine to drive positive change statewide. AHW aims to serve as a catalyst for health improvement across Wisconsin.
