Job Description: Internship
Position Purpose: Under frequent supervision, gain a broad understanding of the RLI business through real-world experience and on-the-job training.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
• Complete project-based assignments.
• Collaborate with experienced professionals, colleagues, and fellow interns to gain knowledge and develop teamwork skills.
• Participate in educational and social activities to understand the RLI business and network.
Education & Experience:
• Requires a high school diploma and college coursework.
• 0-2 years of experience in a related field or position is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Competencies:
• Ability to analyze and resolve basic issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Internship Pay Rates:
Pay varies depending on the department and educational factors:
• General Internship: $20/hour
• IT & Underwriting: $22/hour
• Legal: $25/hour
• Actuarial: $22-$28/hour (*Dependent on number of completed actuarial exams*)

Typical Intern Hours: 10-15 hours/week during the school year and 30+ hours/week during the summer.
