Internship Program:
DTNA offers a comprehensive internship program designed to provide hands-on experience and professional development for high-performing and motivated individuals. Internships begin each summer in May or June and are located at various DTNA locations across the US. Successful interns may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position upon graduation, subject to manager evaluations and business availability.
Internship Compensation and Benefits:
• Salary: $21 – $30 per hour, determined by anticipated graduation year.

Job Requirements:
• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s/PhD Program from an accredited college/university or have graduated within the last 12 months.

Sub-Departments within STEM:
DTNA offers internships across various STEM departments. Here are some of the sub-departments you can consider:
Chassis/Vocational:
• Focus on powertrain, dynamics, architecture, braking, and pneumatic systems.
• Encompasses various vehicle platforms, including diesel, battery electric, autonomous, and emerging technologies.
Cab:
• Specializes in the engineering of the entire vehicle, including interior and exterior systems, design, and wiring.
Product Validation Engineering (PVE):
• Focused on vehicle builds, testing, and validation.
• Includes areas like autonomous validation, operations, vehicle analysis, mechatronics vehicle integration, durability, reliability testing, and business operations.
Autonomous:
• Focus on architecture, diagnostics, and automated system designs.
• Works on Powernet system engineering, powertrain system design and development, steering and braking, hardware integration, and testing.
Compliance:
• Focus on product safety, safety and emissions recalls, TCMS, TREAD, and compliance safety processes.
• Works on advanced safety systems, autonomous driving, emissions certifications, and compliance.
Engineering Platform Management (EPM):
• Focus on heavy-duty and on-highway management, medium-duty and vocational management, engineering operations, cost innovation, fuel efficiency, and powertrain concepts.
Advanced Engineering:
• Focus on energy management, safety systems, and vehicle systems.
• Responsible for the SuperTruck program.
Product Engineering Software & Electronics (TTS):
• Focus on research, development, and production of future technologies for drivetrain (combustion engine, battery, and fuel cell).
• Responsible for vehicle software and electronics.
Mechatronics:
• Responsible for body, eMobility group, instrumentation, and telematics.
• Focus on mechatronics autonomous integration, feature development, cybersecurity, functional safety and diagnostics, integration and hardware, implementation, software maturity, and release management.
Data Science:
• Leverages comprehensive data analysis to extract insights, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Drives efficiency, optimizes processes, and enhances understanding of the market and customer needs.
Connectivity Service Group (CSG):
• Creates digital and connected products and services to enhance customer experiences.
• Delivers insights and digital solutions to make customers’ businesses safer and more efficient.
Information Technology:
• Manages and supports various systems and services, cloud platforms, network management, hardware and software maintenance, user support, and more.

• Hybrid (4 days per week in-office / 1 day remote)
