Job Description: International Supply Chain Internship
This internship offers a college student real-world experience in international business within Valvoline’s international supply chain. The role will provide practical learning opportunities focusing on:
• Customer service: Analyzing and resolving customer or quality issues.
• Supply chain planning: Supporting supply chain performance metrics and analysis.
• Quality management: Assisting with quality issue resolution.
• Logistics: Analyzing and processing ocean freight and export logistic invoices; supporting documentation and compliance of export customer shipments.
• Purchasing: Cross-functional project work potentially involving purchasing activities.
• SAP Functionality: Learning and utilizing SAP software.
Responsibilities:
• Assisting in developing and maintaining training and process documents for International Customer Service.
• Analyzing and resolving customer or quality issues discovered via the incident reporting system.
• Supporting documentation and compliance of export customer shipments.
• Analyzing and processing ocean freight and export logistic invoices.
• Communicating, analyzing, and supporting supply chain performance metrics.
• Participating in cross-functional project work with marketing, sales, product management, supply chain, and directly with customers.
Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain or business-related college program.
• Interest and persistence in problem-solving.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Spanish language skills.
The internship is located on-site at the Global Headquarters in Lexington, KY, Monday-Friday, with the possibility of extension beyond the summer.
