Job Description:
BJC Medical Group is seeking a board certified/board eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join their new practice in St. Peters, Missouri.
Position Highlights:
• New Suite: Practice located in a brand new suite with Endocrinology also in the building.
• Patient Panel: Opportunity to quickly build a patient panel due to a large geriatric population in the area.
• Call: No after-hours call responsibilities.
• Work Schedule: Typical four and a half day work week with 36 patient contact hours per week.

• Support: Strong support staff, with a dedicated Medical Assistant for each provider.

Community Description:
St. Peters, MO, located northwest of St. Louis County, offers a mix of housing, business, retail, and leisure. Nearby attractions include the St. Charles Riverfront, Missouri Wine Country, Katy Trail, Daniel Boone Home, public parks, St. Louis sports teams (Cardinals, Rams, Blues), the Gateway Arch, St. Louis Zoo, Muny Opera, and St. Louis Symphony.
Role Purpose:
The physician will provide professional medical services within the practicing Specialty to the best of physician’s ability through direct patient care and spend additional time as necessary to perform other related duties such as completing medical records, providing MyChart consultations and inbasket management, conducting patient-specific education and collaborating with advanced practice providers and care team members.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the medical care of patient panel by providing or otherwise arranging for inpatient hospital care of physician’s patients
• Collaborate with patients, families, and members of the care team to ensure excellent patient care outcomes at the clinic location(s) designated by BJC and any other BJC clinical outreach location to which physician may be assigned as patient care demands.
• Perform and document medical histories and physicals in the patient’s medical record as required by hospital medical staff bylaws.
• Provide or arranges for call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient call coverage in a manner acceptable to BJC and in accordance with Medical Staff bylaws, while observing and following all BJC policies and procedures and all applicable legal, ethical and professional standards.
• Collaborate and teaches advanced practice providers, support staff or any care team member assigned in the care of physician’s patient panel.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position.
Minimum Requirements:
• Education: Doctorate in Medicine
• Experience: No prior supervisory experience required.
• Licenses & Certifications: Board Eligible or Board Certified; Licensed Physician.
Preferred Requirements:
• 2-5 years of experience preferred.
