Corporate Intern – Internal Auditor | Signature Aviation

The Tone:
This is an internship at Signature Aviation, focused on internal audit functions. The role supports Signature Aviation businesses by identifying and understanding financial and operational risks within the current business environment. This position is vital for ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to address control and operational deficiencies across the organization. The intern will contribute to assignments that directly impact the company’s risk management efforts.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Monitor: Assist in monitoring management to ensure appropriate action steps are taken for control and operational deficiencies.
• Report: Assist in developing audit reports for executive management that document key control deficiencies, operational inefficiencies, and recommendations.
• Audit: Assist on audits of Signature Aviation entities’ financial statements and business operations to identify control deficiencies and operational inefficiencies.
• Plan: Assist in developing audit plans that identify key financial and operational risks to be audited.
• Analyze: Assist on special assignments related to data analytics and data visualization topics.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, pursuing an undergraduate and/or master’s college degree in accounting.
• Experience: Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), an accounting GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), and at least 12 hours of accounting courses taken.
• Skills: Familiarity with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), ability to think creatively and constructively for process improvements, and ability to deliver by established deadlines.
• Bonus: Completed coursework in accounting preferred, and experience in data analytics tools is highly desirable.
