Business SOX Audit Intern | Bright Horizons

This role matters as it provides essential administrative and audit support to the Internal Audit team, contributing to the crucial work of ensuring SOX compliance and efficient audit operations within the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Support: Provide administrative and audit support to the Internal Audit team.
• Meeting Coordination: Schedule and coordinate meetings, walkthroughs, and conference calls with audit stakeholders and process owners.
• Control Testing: Assist with SOX business process control testing and audit activities under the supervision of Internal Audit management.
• Documentation Management: Collect, organize, and maintain audit workpapers and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and proper retention.
• Data Analysis: Perform basic data analytics, data validation, and testing procedures to support audit objectives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: HS diploma required; pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline, having completed at least the junior year of undergraduate study; demonstrated interest in auditing, accounting, financial reporting and management.
• Experience: Fundamental knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, financial analysis, and management information systems.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail; demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Bonus: Experience using AI-powered tools to improve productivity, perform data analysis, or automate routine tasks; experience developing, configuring, or utilizing AI agents and workflow automation solutions.
