Job Description:

UPS is seeking an Internal Audit Intern to join their team in Atlanta, Georgia. This internship will offer you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in internal audit, contributing to the analysis of internal controls, development of audit methodologies, and reporting on key business areas.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Contribute to the development of audit programs: You will play a role in creating programs that test compliance with UPS procedures, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and other industry standards.
Participate in audits: You will be involved in audits of existing processes, using the developed audit programs to assess compliance and identify potential risks.
Assist with report creation: You will contribute to the composition and finalization of audit reports, summarizing findings and recommendations.
Engage in general business tasks: You will participate in various business-related activities and responsibilities as needed.
Work on Internal Control projects: You will contribute to projects aimed at improving efficiency and developing new internal control processes.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve
• Critical analysis skills
• Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred)
• Experience with data analytics tools (preferred)

Work Environment:

This internship requires in-person work at an office in the Atlanta, Georgia area, 5 days per week.
