Job Description: Intern/Trainee in External Audit Services

As an Intern/Trainee in PwC’s External Audit Services, you will work as part of a team to solve complex business issues, contributing to both strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Audit Phases: Assist in various phases of financial statement audits.
Project Support: Contribute to specific projects, demonstrating creativity and initiative.
Teamwork: Build strong relationships with team members and actively seek guidance and feedback.
Task Prioritization: Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks while maintaining professional skepticism.

Job Requirements and Preferences:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
Preferred Qualifications:
• Client service intern positions are typically open to students in their 3rd year of a 4-year degree program or their 4th year of a 5-year program.
• Interns usually join during the winter/spring or summer before their intended graduation year.
Certification (Preferred): Before starting full-time, meet all educational requirements for relevant professional credentials (e.g., CPA license) in the state where your office is located.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
• Demonstrated interest in auditing and a desire to pursue a career in public accounting.
• Basic knowledge of financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and financial reporting systems.
• Ability to research and analyze client, industry, and technical matters.
• Proven abilities in:
• Problem solving
• Prioritizing and managing multiple tasks
• Communicating with various levels of leadership
• Self-motivation and taking responsibility for personal development
