Job Description:

Intern / Trainee in PwC’s Data team will gain valuable experience in:

Supporting various aspects of a financial statement audit: This will expose you to the audit process and help you understand financial reporting concepts.
Assisting with consulting projects and system implementation programs: You’ll gain practical insights into real-world business challenges and learn how technology solutions are applied.
Supporting data analysis: This will involve using advanced analytics, data wrangling techniques, and automation tools to uncover insights and trends from client data.
Identifying anomalies in client data: This requires sharp analytical skills and attention to detail to spot irregularities and potential risks.

Qualifications:

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Analytics, Computer Programming, Computer and Information Science, or Business Administration/Management.
Required: A minimum GPA of 3.0.
Preferred: Client service intern positions are entry-level and typically involve students in their 3rd or 4th year of a degree program. Internships usually occur during the winter/spring or summer before graduation.

Skills:

• Demonstrate an understanding of the development and maintenance of digital solutions governed by portfolio, program, and team management.
• Show knowledge of project management, Systems Development Life Cycles, and agile techniques.
• Have a comprehension of end-to-end business processes across various ERP systems and cloud-based solutions (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Workday, Oracle).
• Demonstrate proficiency in data analytics techniques, utilizing problem-solving skills to conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses with tools like Excel, SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.
• Have a grasp of risk and controls within business processes and at the application and database layer.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking skills to break down complex problems and propose viable solutions.
• Demonstrate experience working collaboratively in team-based environments.
• Possess knowledge of data models, data mining techniques, business intelligence, and relational database concepts.
• Show understanding of big data objectives, concepts, and technologies.
• Demonstrate proficiency in technology applications (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Access/Excel, Visual Basic, R, Python, SAS, Stata, Alteryx) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Spotfire, Qlikview).
• Have knowledge of descriptive analytics, predictive analytics, machine learning principles, Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotic process automation (RPA), project management, and software and solution implementation methodologies.
• Demonstrate interest in independently learning business processes and technologies.
• Possess an understanding of various facets of business and/or IT processes, including concepts of enterprise risk, internal controls, ERPs and CRMs, cloud solutions, corporate compliance, regulatory mandates, portfolio, program, and agile team management, technical aspects of information systems, financial reporting concepts, and systems development methodology.
