Job Description: Intern / Trainee – Technology Consulting

This is an entry-level position for individuals traditionally in their 3rd year of a 4-year degree program or 4th year of a 5-year program. Interns typically join during the winter/spring or summer prior to graduation. As an intern, you’ll work as part of a team, solving complex business issues from strategy to execution.

• Support research, analysis, and problem-solving using various tools and techniques

• Communicate confidently, clearly, concisely, and articulately (verbally and in written materials)
• Embrace different points of view and welcome opposing and conflicting ideas

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred Fields of Study: Accounting, Finance, Technology, Engineering, Business, etc.)
• Preferred Cumulative GPA: 3.3
• Preferred Major GPA: 3.3
• Interest in all aspects of Technology Consulting and a desire to pursue a career in consulting
• Abilities as a team member, including building solid relationships, communicating effectively, demonstrating flexibility, understanding roles, and contributing to a positive work environment
• Research and analysis skills, including the ability to analyze large and complex data sets, conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses, and use Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong writing, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
• Basic understanding of Technology consulting, programming languages (Access, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, .NET, PERL, PHP, PL/SQL, Python, R, Ruby, SAS, SQL, HTML, XML), relational database systems (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2), server operating systems (Windows Servers, Linux, Unix), networking technologies (cloud computing, firewalls, TCP/IP, network security), application design principles, web portals, packaged web applications, NoSQL, Apache Hadoop, digital and mobile application design and development
• Ability to summarize complex subjects for reporting purposes (status reporting, proposal summaries, project financial analysis, project management deliverables)
• Flexibility and willingness to travel
