Job Description: Digital Assurance and Transparency (DAT) Intern / Trainee, Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) Team
The Opportunity:
This internship within the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) team of PwC’s Digital Assurance and Transparency (DAT) practice offers the chance to work with a diverse team of professionals with expertise in sustainability, finance, accounting, and industry. You’ll play a key role in providing audit and consulting services to clients, helping them build trust with their stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• ESG Expertise: Assist clients in identifying and prioritizing sustainability issues, setting goals aligned with corporate strategy, and implementing policies and controls to operationalize sustainability programs.
• Assurance: Provide assurance on a company’s sustainability metrics, ensuring accuracy and transparency in ESG reporting.
• Tech Enablement: Help clients leverage technology to enhance their ESG reporting processes, including the implementation of systems and controls.
• Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients, the DAT team, and external audit teams to understand client systems, technologies, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Problem Solving: Work as part of a team to address complex business issues from strategy to execution.
• Professional Development: Develop skills in research, analysis, problem-solving, data management, communication, and ethical conduct through the PwC Professional framework.
Specific Areas of Focus:
The ESG team specializes in providing audit and consulting services in areas such as:
• Climate change
• Greenhouse gas emissions
• Human capital
• ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., SASB, GRI, CDP)
