Job Description: Intern / Trainee – External Audit Services

As an Intern / Trainee within PwC’s External Audit Services, you will be part of a team of problem solvers, contributing to the resolution of complex business issues from strategy to execution. You will gain experience in:

• Supporting select phases of a financial statement audit
• Supporting select projects, showcasing creative thinking and individual initiative while working as a team member
• Building solid relationships with team members

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree
• Required Fields of Study: Accounting
• Required Cumulative GPA: 3.0
• Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years

Preferred Qualifications:
• Client service intern positions are typically filled by students in their 3rd year of a 4-year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5-year program.
• Interns typically join during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year.
Certification(s) Preferred: Before starting with PwC full-time, meet all educational requirements to be eligible for the primary credential license appropriate for the relevant practice area (e.g., meeting all educational requirements to satisfy the 150 credit hour requirement necessary for the CPA license).
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
• Demonstrates an interest in all aspects of auditing and the desire to pursue a career in public accounting.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and financial reporting systems, including generally accepted accounting principles and current accounting policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates some ability to research and analyze pertinent client, industry, and technical matters.
• Demonstrates basic experience and proven abilities in:
• Utilizing problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Interacting with various levels of leadership (client and/or team-based) in both written and verbal form.
• Self-motivating and taking responsibility for personal growth and development.

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary range: $30.75 – $40.75 (dependent on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws).
