Job Description: Intern/Trainee – Innovation Development
This entry-level position offers the opportunity to work on a team of problem solvers addressing complex business challenges, from strategy to execution. As an Intern/Trainee, you’ll contribute to PwC’s efforts in helping clients:
• Redesign, redefine, and redeploy their assurance and/or tax departments to become a strategic asset across the enterprise.
• Incorporate increased automation, machine learning, data & analytics, and Open Source technologies into their processes to achieve better quality output and contribute more strategically to organizational decision making.
You will be involved in:
• Developing a guided path to innovation for clients by crafting methods that generate insight-based ideas, and selecting, producing, and commercializing the most valuable and viable results.
• Focusing on software-driven innovation strategy, including software technology diligence, operating model design, software product planning and management, and software architecture and cloud strategy.

Qualifications:
• Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Management of Technology, Computer Programming, Web Design, Business Application Programming, or Computer Applications.
• Required Cumulative GPA: 3.0
• Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 0 year(s)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Educational Preferences: Typically, candidates are in their 3rd year of a 4-year degree program or the 4th year of a 5-year program. Internships are typically offered during the winter/spring or summer prior to graduation.
• Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
• Some academic understanding of advanced programming concepts and object-oriented design patterns, with a focus on data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with technologies and concepts like MS SQL Server 2008 or 2012, Visual Basic.Net – C#.Net, .NET Framework, ASP .NET and/or ASP .NET MVC, Visual Basic .NET, Database Design (MS SQL), HTML (Visual Studio .NET), MS Teamsystem, Software Development Lifecycle, and Agile Methodologies (Scrum, etc.).
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and firm management both verbally and in writing.
• Strong client-service orientation and a knack for creative problem-solving.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously as both a team member and independently.
• Research skills and the ability to deliver results based on client, industry, and technical matters.
• Self-motivation and a commitment to personal and professional growth.
• Experience researching business and industry trends to develop informed viewpoints.
• Exposure to automation and digitization in a professional services environment, including experience with technologies like those listed above, as well as innovating through new and existing technologies, experimenting with digitization solutions, and working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools.
Salary Range: $28.00 – $44.75 (depending on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws).
