Job Description: Intern / Trainee in External Audit Services
As an Intern/Trainee in PwC’s External Audit Services, you will join a team of problem solvers and contribute to resolving complex business challenges. You will gain hands-on experience in:
Responsibilities:
• Supporting select phases of a financial statement audit: This involves working alongside experienced auditors to understand and analyze client financials.
• Supporting select projects: You will contribute to various projects, demonstrating creativity and initiative while working collaboratively.
• Building solid relationships with team members: You will interact and collaborate with team members, building strong working relationships.
• Proactively seeking guidance and feedback: You will be encouraged to ask questions and seek support from senior colleagues.
• Demonstrating flexibility and prioritizing tasks: You will learn to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively while maintaining professional skepticism.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
• Demonstrated interest in auditing and a career in public accounting
• Basic understanding of financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and financial reporting systems
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) for interacting with various levels of leadership
• Self-motivation and a commitment to personal growth and development
Preferred Qualifications:
• Client service intern positions are entry-level and traditionally filled by students in their 3rd or 4th year of a degree program.
• Internships typically occur during the winter/spring or summer prior to graduation.
• Before starting full-time, meeting all educational requirements for a CPA license is preferred.
