Corporate Tax Services Intern / Trainee
As an Intern / Trainee within PwC’s Corporate Tax services, you’ll be part of a team dedicated to solving complex business issues. Your role will include:
• Advising Clients: Providing guidance on local and overseas tax affairs, acting as a strategic consultant for business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing.
• Understanding Pricing Implications: Helping organizations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties.
• Tax Implications of Deals: Advising on tax implications of deals and transactions.
• Improving Tax Functions: Helping clients enhance their tax functions to control risk and make informed decisions.
• Tax Compliance: Ensuring clients maintain tax compliance and optimize post-tax profits.
• Developing Skills: You’ll learn about PwC’s business model, develop analytical and problem-solving skills, and be exposed to various tools and techniques used in the industry.
• Professional Development: Through the PwC Professional framework, you’ll gain valuable skills and experience, gaining insight into how to be a purpose-led and values-driven leader.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in select phases of tax compliance engagements.
• Research tax laws, rules/regulations, and analyze their application to specific situations.
• Demonstrate creative thinking and individual initiative while working as a team member, building solid relationships with team members.
• Proactively seek guidance, clarification, and feedback.
• Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks while exercising professional skepticism.
Requirements:
• Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Preferred: Client service intern positions are typically open to students in their 3rd or 4th year of a degree program.
• Certifications: Before starting full-time, meet all educational requirements for a CPA license, either in the state where your office will be located, or through reciprocity.
• Skills: Demonstrates basic abilities in researching and analyzing tax laws, rules, and regulations. Has strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a desire to pursue a career in Tax.
