Detailed Job Description (Intern/Trainee):
As an intern or trainee, you’ll be part of a team solving complex business problems, from strategy to execution. Your responsibilities will include:
• Contributing to tax compliance engagements: Participating in select phases of these projects.
• Tax law research and analysis: Investigating tax laws, regulations, and applying them to specific situations.
• Teamwork and collaboration: Demonstrating creative thinking and initiative within a team environment, fostering strong relationships with colleagues.
• Seeking guidance and feedback: Proactively requesting clarification and feedback to ensure accurate and efficient work.
• Prioritization and task management: Demonstrating flexibility in managing tasks and employing professional skepticism.

Specific Intern Responsibilities within PwC’s Core Tax Practice:

Required and Preferred Qualifications:
• Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; minimum 3.0 GPA; 0 years of experience. Client service interns are typically in their 3rd year of a 4-year program or 4th year of a 5-year program, joining during winter/spring or summer before graduation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Meeting educational requirements for relevant professional credentials (e.g., CPA). Demonstrated success in researching and analyzing tax laws and regulations, interacting with clients and firm management, and self-motivation for personal and career development. A desire for a tax career and experience researching business/industry trends. Exposure to automation and digitization in a professional services environment, including working with large datasets and data visualization tools.
