Job Description: Intern / Trainee in External Audit Services
As an Intern / Trainee, you’ll be part of a team of problem solvers, working together to address complex business issues from strategy to execution.
Responsibilities:
• Learn how PwC operates as a business and adds value to clients.
• Support research, analysis, and problem-solving using various tools and techniques.
• Produce high-quality work that adheres to relevant professional standards.
• Stay up-to-date with technical developments in your area of specialization.
• Handle, manipulate, and analyze data and information responsibly.
• Communicate confidently in a clear, concise, and articulate manner, both verbally and in written materials.
• Embrace diverse perspectives and welcome opposing and conflicting ideas.
• Uphold the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct.
Specific contributions to PwC’s core audit services:
• Support select phases of a financial statement audit.
• Support select projects, demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative while working as a team member and building strong relationships.
• Proactively seek guidance, clarification, and feedback.
• Prioritize and complete tasks flexibly while exercising professional skepticism.
Job Requirements and Preferences:
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree
• Required Fields of Study: Accounting
• Required Cumulative GPA: 3.0
• Minimum Years of Experience: 0 year(s)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Additional Educational Preferences: Client service intern positions are typically filled by students in their 3rd year of a 4-year degree program or their 4th year of a 5-year program. Internships generally take place during the winter/spring or summer before graduation.
• Certification(s) Preferred: Before starting full-time with PwC, candidates should meet all educational requirements for the relevant professional credential, such as the CPA license in the state where the office is located.
• Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
• Demonstrates interest in all aspects of auditing and the desire to pursue a career in public accounting.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and financial reporting systems, including generally accepted accounting principles and current accounting policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates some ability to research and analyze pertinent client, industry, and technical matters.
• Demonstrates basic experience and proven abilities in:
• Utilizing problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Interacting with various levels of leadership (client and/or team-based) in both written and verbal form.
• Self-motivation and taking responsibility for personal growth and development.

Salary Range: $30.75 – $40.75 (dependent on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws)
