Job Description: Technology Consulting Intern / Trainee
This is an entry-level internship designed for students in their 3rd or 4th year of a degree program. Interns will join during the winter/spring or summer prior to graduation.
As a Technology Consulting Intern/Trainee, you’ll work as part of a team to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. You’ll gain valuable experience in:
• Defining clients’ visions: Work with clients to understand their goals and develop a plan to achieve them.
• Delivering technological solutions: Help clients implement the technological solutions they need to compete and grow.
• Aligning IT with business strategy: Support clients in understanding and evolving how they use Information Technology to achieve their business objectives.
• Developing integrated solutions: Contribute to the creation of end-to-end solutions that address complex business problems.

• Think broadly and ask questions about data, facts, and other information.
• Support research, analysis, and problem solving using various tools and techniques.
• Produce high-quality work adhering to professional standards.
• Stay up-to-date with technical developments in your area of specialization.
• Handle, manipulate, and analyze data and information responsibly.
• Communicate confidently in a clear, concise, and articulate manner – both verbally and in written materials.
• Embrace different points of view and welcome opposing and conflicting ideas.
• Uphold the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct.
Preferred knowledge and skills:
• Demonstrated interest in Technology Consulting and a desire to pursue a career in consulting.
• Strong teamwork skills: Building relationships, communicating effectively, understanding team roles, and contributing to a positive work environment.
• Research and analysis skills: Analyzing large and complex data sets, conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, and using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of Technology Consulting and at least one of the following:
• Programming languages (Access, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, .NET, PERL, PHP, PL/SQL, Python, R, Ruby, SAS, SQL, HTML or XML)
• Relational database systems (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2)
• Server operating systems (Windows Servers, Linux, Unix)
• Networking technologies (cloud computing, firewalls, TCP/IP, network security)
• Application design principles, web portals, packaged web applications
• NoSQL, Apache Hadoop, and other database management systems
• Digital and mobile application design and development
• Ability to summarize complex subjects for reporting purposes (status reports, proposals, project financial analysis, project management deliverables).
• Flexibility and willingness to travel.
