Description: Intern / Trainee in External Audit Services
As an Intern/Trainee at PwC, you’ll be part of a team solving complex business issues, from strategy to execution. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a variety of areas, including:
Responsibilities:
• Supporting Financial Statement Audits: Contribute to key phases of financial statement audits, gaining practical experience in audit procedures.
• Supporting Projects: Contribute to various projects, showcasing your initiative and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with team members, building relationships and working effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Seeking Guidance: Proactively seek guidance and feedback from experienced professionals to enhance your learning.
• Prioritization: Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks while maintaining professional skepticism.
Required Currently pursuings:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Entry-level position, typically for students in their 3rd or 4th year of their undergraduate program
Preferred Currently pursuings:
• Demonstrated interest in auditing and a desire to pursue a career in public accounting.
• Basic knowledge of financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and financial reporting systems (including generally accepted accounting principles).
• Ability to research and analyze client, industry, and technical matters.
• Problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivation and commitment to personal growth and development.
Internship Opportunities:
Client service internships are typically offered during the winter/spring or summer prior to graduation.
Certification Requirements:
Before starting full-time, interns are expected to meet all educational requirements for the primary credential license, such as the 150 credit hour requirement for the CPA license in the state of their office location.
