About the Job (Internship – TikTok LIVE Traffic Delivery and User Experience)

This internship is with the TikTok LIVE team, a rapidly growing platform that facilitates real-time interactive content experiences, connecting creators and audiences globally. The team’s mission is to cultivate a safe, engaging, and high-quality livestreaming ecosystem that promotes creativity and community building.

Team Responsibilities:
The specific team responsible for this internship focuses on TikTok LIVE’s Traffic Delivery and User Experience. Their key functions include:
• Continuously optimizing the Recommend system to provide personalized and preferred content to users, thereby helping LIVE acquire traffic within TikTok and drive user growth.
• Understanding and defining content quality and user experience to ensure the stable development of both the content and user ecosystems alongside business growth.

Internship Overview:
This is a 12-week internship for Summer 2026, designed to offer students significant industry exposure and hands-on experience. Interns will develop fundamental skills, explore potential career paths, and apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. The program includes social events and enriching development workshops.

• June 8th, 2026
• June 22nd, 2026

Application Process:

Responsibilities (Specific to this Internship Role):
The intern will be responsible for:
1. Supporting user research and analysis of U.S. TikTok LIVE traffic patterns, audience segments, and content consumption trends to identify high-impact growth opportunities by pinpointing underserved user groups and market gaps.
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate strategies into actionable experiments, track performance metrics, and refine solutions based on data insights and case studies to achieve measurable user growth.
3. Partnering with cross-functional teams, including Algo and Strategy Ops, to track project milestones, ensure alignment, and keep deliverables on schedule.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Ability to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026.
Passion for content products and active use of social/live-streaming platforms.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into clear recommendations.
Data-driven mindset, with basic knowledge of statistics and quantitative analysis.
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of traffic strategies, creator ecosystems, or content quality evaluation is a plus.
• Experience with SQL or Python is a plus.

Job Information (Compensation & Benefits – Campus Intern):

Compensation:
• The hourly rate for this position in the selected city is $50-$50.

Benefits:
Benefits may vary based on employment nature and location. Interns receive day one access to:

• 10 paid holidays per year
• Paid sick time (56 hours if hired in the first half of the year, 40 if hired in the second half).
• Interns not working 100% remote may also be eligible for a housing allowance.
