Summary

Spire is actively seeking a Supply Chain Intern to join our team in the St. Louis office. This intern will play a crucial role in supporting supplier management and supply chain data analytics and reporting efforts. Responsibilities will include assisting with data validation, data sourcing, comprehensive analysis, related system management, system testing, preparation and review of presentations, and the ongoing updating and maintenance of reports and metrics.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Master Data Management:
    • Creates and maintains new records and processes change requests for Supply Chain master data, including diverse supplier and item data records.
    • Ensures the timely and accurate processing of all data requests.
    • Applies and executes standard master data management concepts and techniques.
    • Meets data cleansing requirements utilizing standard processes and tools.
  • Expense Reporting:
    • Performs routine reviews and processes expense reporting transactions, covering both credit card and out-of-pocket expenses.
    • Responds promptly to internal and external requests for supplier and expense reporting information.
  • Reporting & Analytics:
    • Reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to Supply Chain operations.
    • Provides miscellaneous Supply Chain reporting as required.
  • Process & System Enhancement:
    • Works effectively with the team to identify process and system issues, and propose enhancements.
    • Assists with the testing of system solutions, efficiencies, and enhancements.
  • Standards, Procedures & Training:
    • Assists with the development of Supply Chain standards, procedures, and training materials.
    • Performs training for relevant business stakeholders.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Provides support for supplier relationship management initiatives.
    • Assists in the design and deployment of supplier scorecards.
  • Compliance: Performs job duties in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 internal controls.
  • Other: All other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply management, finance, accounting, or computer science.
  • Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Preferred Certifications:
    • Tableau Certification: Certified Associate or Certified Professional.
    • Data management and/or analysis designations.
